Warmth of Maple

This Veradale, Washington kitchen enjoys the earty tones of a light stain over eastern hard maple contrasting with a natural maple floor. The tall double doors left of the oven is the pantry with 7 rollouts.

The Island

This end of the island has a corbled breakfast bar overhang.

Clipped Corners

The end of the counter left of the sink was clipped to allow more room for passage to the backyard deck. Note how the island counter is angled to align with the clipped corner.

Other End

The Island end has finished end panels to add that "custom appeal". Simple cyma curve corbles support the breakfast bar overhang.

Spice Racks

A pair of spice racks flank the cooktop. Each has multi-tiered shelves with carefully planned storage for everything that is needed at the cooktop. Note how the demountable slides come all of the way out of the cabinet so the very last spice can be easily reached.

Bookcase

The built-in frig and open bookcase help give this kit chen a warm family theme.

Spacious Island

Having a large centrally located work surface especially around the cooktop gives this kitchen an opportunity for multitasking.

Window Detail

Typical of my kitchens is the arched valance with the double bumpout. Notice the finished end panels and window trim - all custom made for this job. The doors and drawers were custom made in my shop per detailed instructions by the homeowner.
